A Charitable Effort ~

One Hope Wine is a unique wine brand that donates a generous 50% of its proceeds to various charities year-round.

Each varietal benefits a specific cause:

• Chardonnay - Fight Against Breast Cancer
• Merlot - Fight Against AIDS
• Cabernet Sauvignon - Fight Against Autism
• Sauvignon Blanc - Supporting Our Planet
• Zinfandel - Supporting Our Troops

We tried a few of One Hope's wines and made a few notes on flavor and pairing.

Tasting Notes ~

One Hope Chardonnay is a pale straw color with an apple aroma and a smooth finish. It paired well with a simple roast chicken and buttery spaghetti squash with toasted walnuts.

One Hope Merlot is an easy drinking red with a rich garnet color, flavors of black cherries, plums, and figs, and a soft, smooth finish.

One Hope Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark crimson color, with ripe berry and plum aromas, accented by toasty oak and vanilla. On the palate, dark fruit flavors are balanced by silky tannins and a lingering finish.

Both the Merlot and Cabernet pair well with grilled steak, burgers, barbecued chicken and roast pork.
