Toasted Head Viognier ~ California $12
This Viognier is grown entirely within the Dunnigan Hills winery estate in California. It has the fresh aromas of stone fruits, mango, nectarine and honeysuckle. On the palate, it's rich and lush with bold flavors of succulent apricot, tropical fruit, honey and spice. Try with cream-based dishes such as clam chowder or a spicy coconut curry.
Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc-Viognier ~ California $13.50
With its low alcohol content and fruity, refreshing character, this blend of 81% Chenin Blanc and 19% Viognier has the aromas of ruby grapefruit, pear, lychee and melon with just a hint of spicy, white florals. The slightly off-dry finish is crisp, making it a perfect match for a wide variety of summer dishes - or it can stand alone as an aperitif.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Moscato ~ California $10
Made in the Moscato d'Asti style, this bright and lightly sweet white has flavors of orange blossom, fresh citrus, lychee, honey and spice with just a bit of effervescence. With a honeyed-fruit finish, this Moscato pairs well with fruit, cheese or a light dessert such as a fresh fruit tart or chocolate-dipped strawberries.
Mirassou Monterey County Riesling ~ California $12
Blended with just over 1% Viognier, this bright Riesling has aromas of peach, apricots and spice with the intense fruit flavors of red apple and peach. Its naturally firm acid levels give this wine a crisp and delicate structure that pairs beautifully with richly sauced poultry or seafood.
Pacific Rim Dry Riesling Columbia Valley ~ Washington $12
To achieve a versatile and harmonious Dry Riesling, Pacific Rim picks their grapes early and uses no oak or malolactic, resulting in a pure, unmanipulated blend of 20% German Riesling (selected by Johannes Selbach in the Mosel region) and 80% of their Columbia Valley Riesling. This low-alcohol wine is crisp and dry with flavors of citrus, jasmine and minerals, complementing seafood, cheeses and cold meats beautifully.
Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris ~ Oregon $15
In a classic Oregon style, this Pinot Gris has aromas of pear layered over light citrus with honeydew and green apple in the nose. The balanced acidity is highlighted by a creamy, round mouthfeel. The addition of Pinot Blanc and Muscat result in a perfect match for salmon, cheese, shellfish, chicken, salads and white fish.
Kestrel Vintners Pure Platinum 4th Edition ~ Washington $10
Pure Platinum's fourth release, this white table wine is a blend of Viognier and Gewürztraminer. The resulting wine has the brilliant spice of Gewürztraminer and the floral perfume of Viognier, with hints of honeysuckle, passion flower and orange blossoms in the nose. Flavors include sweet citrus, tangerines, apricots and peaches with a sweet clover honey finish. A lovely complement for Asian dishes with a fiery kick.
