Canadian Club Sherry Cask Cocktails
Canadian Club Sherry Cask is a an aged, small batch whisky matured in imported Spanish sherry casks. Read our tasting notes for more info.
Brooklyn
1 part Canadian Club Sherry Cask
3/4 part sweet vermouth
1/4 part Amer Picon
1/4 part Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
Maraschino cherry for garnish
Stir all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add the cherry for garnish.
Candy Pants
1-1/2 parts Canadian Club Sherry Cask
1/2 part Cherry Heering
1-1/2 parts fresh lemon sour (see instructions below)
Lemon wheel for garnish
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
Caribbean Dreams
1-1/2 parts Canadian Club Sherry Cask
3/4 parts Cruzan Coconut Rum
2 parts fresh lemon sour (see instructions below)
4 1-inch cubes of fresh pineapple
4-inch sprig of rosemary
Strip all but 1 inch of the leaves from the rosemary and muddle with 3 pineapple cubes in a mixing glass. Add all remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Spear the remaining pineapple cube with the rosemary stem for garnish.
Fresh Lemon Sour
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan and heat to boiling. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and continue to boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Stir in the lemon juice. Refrigerate in a tightly covered container for up to 4 weeks.
Makes 2 cups (recipe can be cut in half)
