Ham, Apple and Boursin Roll-ups
We whipped up these easy, no-cook appetizers using Boursin® Apple, Cranberry & Cinnamon cheese - a limited edition holiday flavor. The cheese is a seasonally inspired blend of traditional holiday flavors and we found it paired nicely with baked ham and tart crispy apples for this simple appetizer recipe.
- Ingredients:
- 1/4 to 1/2 lb deli-style baked ham, thin sliced
- 1/2 cup Boursin® Apple, Cranberry & Cinnamon (see recipe notes)
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh chives
Preparation:
To make the rolls relatively uniform in size, cut the ham slices into 2-1/2 by 6-inch rectangles. Cut the apple into matchstick pieces, 1/4-inch wide by 2-1/2-inches long and sprinkle them with lemon juice to prevent browning. Spread about 1 teaspoon of the Boursin® onto 1 end of a slice of ham. Top with two pieces of apple and roll into a log. Tie a chive around the middle and trim the excess length. Transfer to a serving plate and serve.
Makes about 2 dozen (6 to 8 appetizer servings)
Recipe Notes:
Boursin® Apple, Cranberry & Cinnamon cheese is a limited holiday release, usually available from November 1st through January. If it's not available, try one of their other varieties and replace the apple with seeded cucumber.
Just a note - don't omit the chives - they add subtle but essential flavor!
